Cricket Sound Simulation

Cricket Sound Simulation

Instructions:
Click Play Sound to hear cricket sound.

Credits:
The cricket sound is recorded from a facebook video from my cousin who caught a cricket by train tracks.
He likes listening to it when sleeping in his bed room because it remind him of falling asleep in the Phillipines (before coming to the States).
To make the cricket not lonely, my cousin records its sound and replay it and cricket is moving around looking for his buddy.
Someone suggested getting a friend cricket from a local pet store but my cousin said that they don't sell the all black cricket that chirps like his.
I thought to make this play randomly with a random interval to have more variations as it plays so it's not so much like a recording
but more like a live sound simulation.
Technique:
A random sample from 18 different samples is played once per interval.
90% of the time, the interval is random between 0.546 second and 0.646 second
10% of the time, the interval is random between 0.546 second and 0.993 second
