The new feature is that you can now quickly see various plaid patterns using the same colors. For example when you see https://plaid-patterns.com/plaid-random-browse.html You might see something like this If you (left) click a pattern, you'll now will see variations of patterns using that same those same colors. For example see something like this after you click on a pattern (notice how they're all similar in colors? yeah that's the feature).

 I used this page  Plaid Random Browse and hand picked 10 plaids for fun.  

I generated eighteen thousand seven hundred and seventy-seven (18,777) plaid patterns. It's on https://plaid-patterns.com It's free for any use (commercial and personal uses). Attribution is not required (but greatly appreciated). Each plaid pattern is 1024x1024 and seamless. You can sort them by likes, viewed, papered or shirted. Papered or Shirted are just views where people view the pattern in paper format or shirt format. You can preview patterns on other items as well. It's pretty cool I think.
